This Hidden Synagogue was posted this morning on Imgur and I was so touched that I wanted to share it with you.
It looks like an amazing teapot that you would be honored to have handed down from a grandfather, as this person was
but as you open it up you eventually find, layered within this teapot, candlesticks, Havdalah spice box, an eternal flame, a seder plate for Passover, and a dreidel
A menorah
And, a Megillah
When I think on the miracle that so many Jewish wanderers over generations were able to continue to practice and hand down their traditions, I often wonder how. This would certainly make it possible!
